The shareholders of Activision has approved the pending merger of Activision and Vivendi (parent company of Blizzard). Under the merger Vivendi becomes a subsidiary of Activision.

With all that capital under one roof, I sure hope that it will continue on creating great games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty and of course let’s not forget Quake.

As if the 25-gigabyte paper disc from Sony and Toppan is not enough for our personal digital storage needs, Pioneer has created the world’s first 16-layer (ok let’s do away with 4-layer, 8-layer and just skip to 16 altogether) optical disc capable of storing 400GB of read only data.

With the upcoming E3 2008 Summit (July 14-17 in LA) just around the corner, everyone seems to be wondering if Sony would be announcing the next generation PSP (historically Sony made the announcement of the development of the PSP at the E3 2003 Summit). This is good news for Flash developers. Google has recently done a lot of improvements in their indexing technology to be able to include in their index content made from Adobe Flash.

Expect your web site’s Flash content to be more searchable using Google Search. In the past creating content using Flash is an obstacle for Search Engine Optimization but now that Google has made inroads into the improvement of indexing Flash content, web sites can not only have great content but also great looks and functionality!
